The one-of-a-kind boutique hotel that will ruin you for all future airbnb and hotel experiences.

Eggs to order, the most stunning spread of pastries and croissants, and the most hole-in-the-wall recommendations for local Austrian food - nothing can compare to Hotel Altstadt.
While travelling Vienna with my boyfriend and two of our friends, the four of us all stayed in one of the nicest boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. Hotel Altstadt, conveniently located in St Urich, is exactly what a boutique hotel should be.
The quiet neighborhood surrounding gives it a local feel, but it remains only a ten minute walk from the city center and most of the major sites in Vienna. The hotel provides its guests with a selection of their favourite restaurants, both around the corner and further in the city.
One of our favorite restaurants from the trip was their recommendation of Glacis Beisl, a trendy enclave near the hotel with incredible schnitzel.
The rooms are like apartments, and the Freud suite in particular has one of the most stunning bathrooms I've ever seen. In minimalist Viennese fashion, the rooms are stylishly decorated with antique desks and chairs, and supplied with the newly popular Malin + Goetz toiletries.
Included in the price of the room is complimentary breakfast each morning; this includes (but is not limited to) eggs to order, fresh pastries, breads, jams, teas, coffees, and juices.
In the afternoons, from 16:00-18:00, the hotel also provides complementary afternoon tea for its guests, which typically includes warm cookies or cakes freshly made. But the complimentary treats do not end here; upon arrival the hotel will give you a coupon for two free Viennese Girls, the Austrian take on the Gin & Tonic. You can redeem them during the evening in their lounge/bar, which often has a classical or jazz pianist playing.

The Altstadt is an example of how far a little money can go. While airbnb is intended to be the cheapest accommodation option, the higher end of airbnb can end up being pretty expensive.
If booked in advanced, the Altstadt can be comparable to a nice airbnb in price, and includes so much more. If you're willing to splurge a little bit, you will not be disappointed with all of the great amenities provided.
And if you're booking, check Expedia first; we booked through Expedia and got a great deal.
