A classic Australian joint in the middle of NYC.
Honestly, this place is adorable and as close as you're going to get to Australian fare in NYC. They do the classic stuff, like two eggs any style on ciabatta, and the more classically Australian dishes, like Avo Toast and Ricotta Pancakes.
**ATTENTION ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE SCARED OF RICOTTA PANCAKES**
Don't be scared. They're not cheesy. They are just the fluffiest, most delicious kind of pancakes out there. And Ruby's does them pretty well. They typically come with honeycomb butter (which is more subtle than you'd expect) and banana slices. If you like pancakes at all, I'd seriously recommend trying these (or try them at Dudley's). Other highlights from their menu are the Passionfruit Granola Bowl, the Egg Sandwich, and the cocktails! They have a great selection of beers, wines, and funky cocktails like the Ruby's Spritz and The Watermelon Drink.
I've never personally been here for dinner, but the Bronte Burger is delicious if you go for lunch.
The atmosphere is great, the menus are adorable, and the music is always good. Definitely a cute date spot or a fun place for a boozy brunch.
