Pitt Street Market

Writer: Olivia BiaseOlivia Biase

Leith's favourite food hall, with everything from decadent fried chicken sandwiches to cookie dough sundaes.

This is one of my favourite places in Edinburgh. This food hall, despite seeming like it's in the middle of nowhere, is one of Edinburgh's many buzzing food markets. It's bit edgier than the Stockbridge Market, but definitely just as delicious.

It's very popular because they often televise big sports matches and have a diverse range of delicious food stalls.

My person favourite is The Buffalo Truck, which serves insane buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches. Don't sleep on the other stalls though.

Barnacles&Bones serves delicious steak and fries, and there are plenty of Barney's booths to keep you buzzed all afternoon on beer or spirits!

Whether you're visiting Edinburgh for a weekend or moving for university, you must spend an afternoon at the Pitt Street Market.

I'd also recommend exploring Leith while you're there. You can check out The Ship On The Shore for fish and chips by the harbour, or Origano for delicious pizza. If you're there in the morning, you should also stop by Bross Bagels!
